Dr. James Kim

Dr. James Kim, our Interventional Cardiologist, focuses on both outpatient Surgery Center of Viera procedures for stents, angioplasty and peripheral vascular intervention, and also performs cardiology diagnostic tests in the clinic setting for Primary Care of Brevard and Brevard Heart and Vascular.

The Brevard Heart and Vascular outpatient setting offers patients stress tests, cardiac function monitoring and echocardiography.  Dr. Kim’s tenured cardiology expertise includes treatments for patients with symptoms of palpitation, chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, and leg pain due to poor circulation. Dr. Kim also treats vascular issues, improving circulation in organs in addition to the heart, as well as procedures to eliminate varicose and spider veins.

Dr. Kim graduated from University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1997 and has been in practice for 20 years.  After earning his MD, he completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, GA and went on to specialize through two Fellowships in Cardiology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX and Interventional Cardiology at University of Cincinnati.  He has served as an Interventional Cardiologist at Heart Care Centers of FL in Titusville, FL and Texas Health Physicians Group in Dallas, TX. Dr. Kim is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Kim also has extensive military training as a physician in the US Army and served our country during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. James Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in Los Angeles, CA. He and his wife Jean reside in Titusville and are parents to two sons Adam and Justin and daughter Dylan. Dr. Kim’s hobbies include golfing, running and various types of exercise.
